Desired Skills: Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering, plus eight (8) years of related experience acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer, including two (2) years of which were in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or if currently licensed in another state, must have the ability to obtain a Texas P.E. license within six (6) months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with utility infrastructure and/or building construction projects (civil or architectural projects), including those that are large and complex in nature.
Experience working with other engineers, consultants, contractors, inspectors or other members of a project team.
Experience using and understanding construction contract documents, design criteria manuals, and building codes.
Experience responding to technical inquiries from customers, members of the public, or other members on a project team.
Ability to travel to more than one work location.
Job Description: This position supports the Austin Capital Delivery Services by providing engineering expertise and inspection supervision in the Construction Management Division. This position accepts capital projects for the City of Austin and supervises teams consisting of approximately 25 City employees including inspectors and inspection supervisors.
Salary Range: $52.25 - $67.93

General Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM; Telework: Up to 60% teleworking available.
