Desired Skills: Experience in the management or inspection of Capital Improvement Projects.
Experience in a supervisory capacity over staff delivering or inspecting CIP projects.
Experience inspecting or supervising inspection of complex architectural and engineering capital improvement projects including projects with high construction value, complex technical scope of work or construction methods, use of alternative project delivery methods, and complex stakeholder requirements.
Experience leading multiple inspection teams.
Experience developing and managing capital improvement budgets, including workload forecasting, planning, and budgeting for projected staffing needs and other resource requirements.
Experience presenting information related to CIP construction projects to diverse stakeholder groups, including City Council, boards and commissions, and advisory committees and citizen groups.
Ability to travel to multiple work locations.
Job Description: The City's Construction Management Division plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality and integrity of the City's Capital Improvement Projects. This position leads the Construction Management Division - a team of inspection and safety professionals dedicated to ensuring that all city infrastructure is built safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and ordinances. As the steward of the inspection process, you will oversee a division that serves as the city’s frontline for quality control and site safety, making sure every dollar invested delivers a lasting, resilient, and well‑built public asset. This role is more than a management position — it is an opportunity to shape the built environment for generations to come.
Salary: $56.43 - $73.36

General Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours may vary depending on work demands and business needs.
Work hours may include after-hours, holidays, and weekend work.
