Speaker: Justin Word, P.E. Director of Engineering, CTRMA
This month's luncheon presenter Justin Word, P.E. joined the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority in January 2015 and brings 20+ years of industry experience to the role. He provides oversight and direction for the planning, development and construction of all Mobility Authority projects.
Prior to joining the Mobility Authority, he spent about equal time in the public and private sector, developing and managing all manner of street and highway projects. His roles in the private sector included Vice President and Deputy Director of Transportation for a 225-person civil engineering firm. During this time, he also acted as a Senior Project Manager where he planned and developed more than 100 highway projects, from small turn-lane improvements to mega freeway projects. During his 8 years at the Texas Department of Transportation, he split his time equally between planning / design and construction management.
Justin is a graduate of Texas A&M University - Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He has been a registered professional engineer in Texas since December 2003, and has almost 20 years living in the Austin area
