TOPIC: Water Supply Challenges in the San Antonio-Austin Mega-Metroplex

ASCE Austin is excited to host Brian Perkins, PE (GBRA), Deputy Chief Engineer with Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA). The presentation is titled "Water Supply Challenges in the San Antonio-Austin Mega-Metroplex."

Brian Perkins, PE (GBRA) is the Deputy Executive Manager of Engineering with the GBRA. His duties include strategic water supply planning, development and implementation of large-scale water infrastructure, analysis and implementation of environmental strategies, and negotiation of water supply agreements. Brian has over 25 years of experience leading conceptual and feasibility water supply studies and water rights analyses in Texas and across the US and Mexico. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and serves as GBRA’s internal program manager for the implementation of GBRA’s WaterSECURE Project.

Registration ends on Friday, May 15th; you may still attend by paying at the door (cash, check, paypal). As a non-profit, we operate on a budget that is highly dependent on revenue from sponsorships, membership fees, and event/program fees (such as this luncheon). To help ensure a meal headcount for our events we require registration in advance. At this time, we do not offer refunds. NOTE: Time is allotted for lunch beginning at 11:30 AM. The meeting and speaker presentation will begin around 12 PM. A short period for questions & answers is reserved prior to 1 PM.
