The Watershed Protection Department seeks a Graduate Engineer or Professional Engineer with a specialty in water resources or environmental engineering to perform design, analysis, construction oversight and project management of stream restoration and stormwater treatment projects.
Of particular interest are candidates with education and experience in stream restoration, bioengineering and green infrastructure approaches to stormwater treatment.
We are hiring for a GRADUATE ENGINEER A/B or ENGINEER A
Graduate Engineer A: Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job.
Graduate Engineer B: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline with at least two (2) years of engineering experience. This level requires a Texas Engineer-In-Training Certification.
Engineer A: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years engineering experience acquired either before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer. A State of Texas Professional Engineer License is required.

Previous education or experience in the analysis and design of erosion protection, grade controls or stream restoration projects
Experience with analytical tools and/or programming
Experience using ArcGIS software
Experience or training in the use of design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D
Possesses basic Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling skills
Ability to travel to and conduct field work at various locations in the City
Commensurate with experience
