Open Positions for the ASCE Austin Branch Board

Each year we identify ASCE members that would like to serve on the Austin Branch Board of Directors. At our June 19th luncheon, a slate will be presented to the membership for its approval for the 2018-2019 ASCE board. As our membership grows, dynamic opportunities for leadership also expand. We are seeking members from our community that wish to serve the membership in this most important and valuable way.


The ASCE Austin Branch Nominating Committee has proposed a slate of officers for the 2018-2019 Board. We will be presenting the proposed slate of officers at the May luncheon, as follows:


President: Kacey Paul, PE, CFM – City of Austin

President-Elect: Travis Isaacson, PE – The Rios Group

Vice President-Programs: Bradley East, PE – DeSimone Consulting Engineers

Secretary: Sam Shorter, PE – Miller Gray

Treasurer: Roxanne Cook, PE – City of Austin

Treasurer-Elect: Kat Lauer, EIT – Texas Engineering Solutions

Communications Director: Tyler Dube, PE – Pape-Dawson Engineers

Section Director: Genest Landry, PE – City of Austin

Younger Member Director: Coby Gee, PE, ENV SP – Freese and Nichols

Past President: Glenn Goldstein, PE – RS&H


If you are interested in serving on the Board, nominations are open through May 28th for the following positions: President-Elect, Vice President-Programs, Secretary, Treasurer-Elect, Communications Director, Section Director, and Younger Member Director. If you wish to nominate, please do so in writing to our Nominating Committee Chair, Steve Zobal ( Those who submit their name will be contacted by a member of the nominating committee.


When you see these people, please take a moment to talk to them about their proposed position and you will find that they are excited to serve as Austin Branch leaders in the coming year.


We have several leadership opportunities to serve as a committee chair, as well as volunteer opportunities to be a committee member.
