Heavy Lifting Technology and Recent Accomplishments

Freyssinet and Hebetec, two sister companies under the Vinci Construction group, have formed a successful partnership which couples Freyssinet’s excellent technical and engineering capabilities with Hebetec’s worldleading experience in heavy lifting operations. A series of presentations have been arranged to familiarize professionals in the various industries with the capabilities of the partnership’s heavy lifting equipment fleet, the technology behind some of the hydraulic and mechanical systems, and the lifting operations themselves by exploring the details of some recent accomplishments.

Mark has been a project manager with Freyssinet since July 2015. With the Freyssinet team, he led the planning, management and execution of various projects across the US. These projects include the post-tensioning of pier caps, bridge decks, spliced girders, the inspection of stay-cable systems, and the demolition/construction of bridges through heavy-lifting. Mark is a professional engineer, a Level-1 bonded post-tensioning technician, and a certified safety inspector of in-service bridges. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.S in Civil Engineering in 2013, and from the University of Virginia with an M.S. in Structural Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2015.

Freyssinet was founded over 70 years ago by Eugène Freyssinet, the inventor of prestressing. Freyssinet brings together an extensive range of skills in the specialist civil engineering sector, offering integrated technical solutions in the fields of construction and structural repair.
