2005 Austin Children’s Museum Engineering Day
Saturday February 26th, the Austin Branch
ASCE hosted the 4th Annual Engineer’s Day
at the Austin Children’s Museum! ASCE volunteers
worked from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with 200 children -
helping them build a hoop glider and see how far it
goes… watching how high the kids can build a
newspaper tower that supports a golf ball… lending a
hand to kids building all kinds of structures with
spaghetti and marshmallows…
Due to the generosity of our sponsors, ASCE provided
volunteers and supplies for the event as well as pay
museum admission fees for the 200 kids the day of
the event.
