June 2008

Come to New Orleans with ASCE - Aug 29 to Sept 1

This year will mark the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, and the third trip from Austin to New Orleans over Labor Day weekend. Participants in our previous journeys (85 UT students and Austin area professionals went last year) are overwhelmingly enthusiastic about their experience of getting to know new people in the Austin civil engineering community; learning about the civil engineering and social disasters of Katrina; bearing witness to the sites and city one, two, and now three years later; and of course putting in a good day's labor (followed by the unrivalled cuisine).

We invite you to learn more and to join us this year! Please read more about the 2007 trip and contact rose marie klee to be added to our email info list and volunteer roster.
